OK, so what have I been doing for the last few days.

Well, on Tuesday Steve, Dave C, Dave J, Jon and myself went to see Constantine at Beckenham Cinema. It really wasn’t what I was expecting, and it wasn’t my sort of thing. It had demons and angels and the devil etc. which I didn’t really enjoy, but the special effects were great. I wouldn’t see the sequel, if there was one. A picture of the ticket can be found here.

Well, that was on Tuesday. I did a little bit of work on Tuesday, along with the cinema. There’s a story to tell actually. Here we go:

As usual, my Mum was planning to drop me at the cinema in her car, it’s cheaper than the bus and more convenient. But, it was Sod’s Law that the car wouldn’t start. We all know who’s behind that, don’t we?

Anyway, it turns out it was a flat battery. Bloody cars. Anyway, this means running to the bus stop for the 352, usually a ten minute walk. I had no idea what time the bus was, so ran just to be sure. I did find out though that I’m really unfit. The bus came at 1414, and so got me there on time. All was well.

So onto the main reason for this blog; the London trip yesterday. Yay!

The train was the usual, the 0936 from West Wickham. It was 10 minutes late though.

Here is a photo of Stewart taking a photo of me taking a photo, ah you get the idea. That was not a problem, just a slight inconvenience. We were originally going to get off at Waterloo East, but decided to leave the London Eye until the weather cleared up a bit, or so we thought…

We got off at Charing cross and walked up the mall, where we saw this, which was nice.

Here is a nice photo of the rest of the group, on the Mall. And here is the Queen’s house. I don’t think she was at home. After the mall we entered Green Park where, we filmed the Bloggin’ rap. MC DaveMcC was the lead of course. I’m looking forward to seeing that Megatrobe.

We then had a short break at Pret A Manger. here is Dave C, and Jon and Dave J. Sorry Stewart, keine Photo für dich.

After the break, we got the tube to Oxford circus where, i lead to group to HMV. Did any of you actually trust me that HMV was down that way? Aaaaaanyway, we browsed some CDs and ipods and then went back on the tube from Bond Street to Waterloo. Here, we tried to find some lunch, preferably some KFC, but there was none. There was this though. Very good they are too, the old Eurostars. We had luch at Burger King who, refused to give us chairs. Darstards. After a filling lunch and more walking we arrived here. The London Eye. Dave was so excited that he decided to act like Charles Nichols. I think that’s how you spell it anyway. He was also in awe of the London Eye. It was very big. We got our tickets, £12.50 each, and joined the queue. We were searched for bombs and queued some more. We eventually boarded at about 1410.

Here’s the nice structure.

Dave and Stewart looking very happy here.

It is a magnificent structure.

St. Paul’s in the distance. The weather was awful.

It really was that bad.

Here’s a pod.

And another.

An excellent photograph of the group.

The Houses of Parliament.

Jon thinking about how to conquer Otis.

This is a nice photo.

Well, after much merriment there, we headed for the arcade in County Hall. Fun was had there too. We walked across Westminster bridge to Westminster station where, we got the tube to Covent Garden. We also did the shortest tube ride in London. 38 Seconds it was. Leicester Square to Covent Garden. Covent Garden is a strange station in that there are no escalators. It’s lifts or stairs. We all chose the stairs. I won!! (Although it wasn’t a race, I hurt afterwards. Damn Lactic Acid. )

We saw a merry-go-round and went in the gadget shop. We then had a Starbuck’s and walked back to Charing Cross station to catch a train. On the way we saw a McDonalds with a McCafe and the McInternet. That was funny. Also, Jon attracted the attention from some strange guy who stared at him from about 1 foot in front of him. Could have been Otis I suppose. We got a train just in time, and watched Jon’s video on the way back. Fun was had yesterday it had to be said.

I was out of the house for seven hours and 25 minutes. That made a change.

Well, seeing as I have a lot of time on my hands, I thought I’d make the most of it and do a post. I’m sure some of you like seeing new posts appear; I know I do.

I know that most of what I’m about to say has already been said by most of you, but I suppose I’ve got to say it as well.

Firstly, We have now broken up for Easter: Hurrah!! This meant finishing early on Thursday – Very Early. Here’s how the day went.

First period was usual, The Beast and physics. There was something strange about the lesson though. I have a feeling that it was the small girl lurking around in her school uniform that made me feel very uncomfortable, seeing as she kept looking at me. It was Ella Tyler. The daughter of an AOO. Maybe he was training her to defend herself against the might of the Duds. Who knows?

It was a lso quite funny, as Nonnesuch has said, seeing Tyler as a father, rather than a physics teacher. When we were having our discussions in class, as usual, Ella wanted a cuddle. So, whilst Tyler was banging on about braking distances and F x d = ½ mv2 etc. he was holding his daughter. This put me off even looking, let alone answering any questions. Tyler also said that the holidays are not holidays, they are just non-contact learning time. Yeah right!

Period two was usual, free for first half, german oral for second half. Mrs. Moody was pleased with my german oral, which is good. We played bridge for the first half, also good.

Period three was assembly. Northcott as usual praised the hockey team, and said we can fly to the moon – I think that’s already been done, you idiot. I wonder if anybody in the whole school actually likes him?

Some music was played, Rob dissed the piano player to the right of the stage for using just one hand, and some small boy did some magic that was crap.

We broke up about 1130, and I went straight home after collecting my coat.

From now on in, It’s all gonna be revision I feel.

I’ve been tracking the price of a digital camera on Amazon for some time now. It started at over £200, and has gone down to about £165. It can be found here

That’s all for now

Sorry I haven’t blogged for a while.

Well, not a lot has happened recently. I’ve finally finished my open book, which is a relief. I’m quite looking forward to Easter now, despite the looming revision and the dreaded exams. Not a lot has happened since the last post. I have to say, some excellent gimping by Megatrobe, Teradud and Nonnesuch recently. Well done.

Some of you reading this, we’ll call him agent number 1, say that my posts are boring, and I never have anything to say. Partly this is true. But, it’s not my fault if nothing interesting happens in my life, is it? Or maybe it is…

I’m looking forward to the London trip at Easter, and maybe the cinema. Hostage with Bruce Willis looks like a good film.

We’re continuing our UCAS things in form at the moment, with the handing out of Uni visit forms. There orange, in case you haven’t seen them. We have a talk tomorrow about applying and stuff. Probably really boring.

I think I’ve got a few definite choices, to apply for. I think Warwick is one of them, and Lancaster, seeing as my Brother’s there. Also probably Sheffield, and the rest well, I’m open for suggestions, other than Oxford or Cambridge.

I also got my exam results awhile back now

Here they are:

Chemistry = 80/90
Maths = 100/100

Yay! I thought it was easy, but not that easy.

Also, happy birthday to Akin for today.

Friday, March 11, 2005

Well, firstly I’m really, really sorry that I haven’t blogged properly for nearly a month. Therefore, this blog could be rather long. Just bare with me.

Well, some time a go was the first of the maths lectures which will supposedly help us with our C4 coursework. This seems like a load of rubbish. It was about rainbows for a start which, aren’t notoriously mathematical. Some parts were mildly interesting, but he sped through the differentiation bits of it because of some small kids at the front. Damn those small kids. I also met Lewis’ mum which was good to put a face to a name. Jon’s Dad was there as well. My Dad refused to come, saying it would be boring. He was right. Although it was boring, it was nowhere near as boring as the chemistry lecture attended by chemistry students such as Megatrobe and Teradud (whose links can be found to the left) and of course myself. That was boring.

Well moving on to more recent happenings.

Tuesday of this week was the higher education conference in Islington in North London. This involved a nice lay-in until about 0800 hours, which made a nice change. I made my way to West Wickham station at about 0915 hours, hoping to leave enough time to buy a ticket form the grumpy darstard behind the counter before boarding the 0936 to Charing Cross. Both the darstard and the train did not arrive that day. I had to buy a travelcard form the machine which, meant queuing for longer than usual. Funnily enough though, the machine was a lot friendly than the man usually is. I was actually quite looking forward to the trip. It was on the day when I had 5 lessons, including the bitch’s. It couldn’t have come at a better time.

Well, we got a later train where, Rob, Dave J and myself met Jon on the train. Unfortunately, there was a class of year six from Pickhurst on our train too. This included my cousin who seemed very embarrassed about me being within 10 feet of him. Hmmm…

Well, we arrived at London Bridge slightly late and feeling slightly claustrophobic from the train journey. The rest of the journey went fine, and we arrived at Angel station roughly at about 1100 hours. I had to register with Glover, and did so straight away.

The convention hall itself was huge. Davemeister and I went off together and picked up Jon along the way. We spent about 90 minutes or so picking up prospectuses

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This is my pile of prospectuses I picked up. Twenty-two in total – 22!! They weighed in at 13.5kg – That’s 2 stone!!

A slightly blurred picture of some of the duds who happened to be there at the time
After I had filled my usual rucksack and two carrier bags with prospectuses, I took a rest, where I found this chav:

Damn those chavs.

We then went to Burger King for Lunch. That was nice.

Some of our group then went home, and myself, Lewis, Teradud, Megatrobe and the thing with the hair (David Cooper) went to the science museum. It was a short tube ride which included going the shortest distance on the tube between two stations. Covent Garden and Leicester square. 39 seconds from start to stop. Very short.

The science museum was good, if not a little hot. We played on the domination tables for about half an hour. That was fun. The Hair then left us to see his sister, thank God.

This photo was taken of Dave looking very old. :D

We then went to Oxford Street to find a headphone splitter. I forgot to mention that Andrew was still with us a t this point. Sorry.

We lost a whole Virgin megastore thanks to Dave. Thanks Dave. Thave. We got diverted to Waterstone’s though, in search of Professor Frank Close’s Book. They didn’t have it, but they did have a book on C for Jon, which he bought. Slightly too dear if you ask me - £25, although it is huge.

And that was my day. I finally got home about 1715.
