An update is need I think for the recent happenings in the world of Dan.
Back at the beginning of the month we went to see Superman Returns. A very good film it was too. I've never seen the original films, so I can not compare. Apparently they are also quite good. The day afterwards I went to Rob's House for a games day. Fantastic fun as always. Here's a photo of the gang playing Simpson's Monopoly:
So, that was that. This was of course all after my holiday to Barbados and Saint Lucia, both in the Caribbean. I will include only the one photo of Saint Lucia, just to show you how great my holiday was. God I’m lucky.
Bliss.
Ah, Olli’s party on the sixth of August. It was a fantastic evening with a trampoline, swimming pool and BOUNCY CASTLE!!! Great fun had by all, except for two pints, who got VERY drunk.
A week or so later, I went to a barbeque at Nick’s House. It was very good fun, except for one person. I got to see Matt after his holiday, so that was good to catch up
Last Sunday was yet another Games day, this time at Dave’s house. Fantastic as always, thanks Dave. But get this: I won a race on Mariokart! I couldn’t believe it seeing as everybody else, Dauve exempt, is better than me. I was well chuffed.
Then, just two days ago, it was off to London Town for a fun filled frolock to goodness knows where. We did Harrods in the morning, walked around the whole building looking for a car in a window, which we eventually found, and went to the Natural History museum in the afternoon. Not as fun as Harrods and the 70” HD TV. Gold plated as well. So Bling.
For lunch, we went to Wing’s buffet in Westferry, quite near Shadrock Tower. (You’ll see in a minute what Shadrock tower is).
It was an all you can eat, and so we all departed stuffed. Well worth traveling to.
Here are my photos from the London trip:
The Gang on the mall
Ah yes. This car may not look anything special, but it is. It costs £260,000. That’s right. About the same price as a very nice house. Ridiculous money. A Rolls-Royce competitor, if you will.
This is Shadrock Tower. Only because Disorderly is working in London at the moment.
Dauve in the Natural History Museum with a crab as big as him. We imagined what Jon would do if we let it loose in his house. Hehe.
The escalator of DOOM!
Drinking Starbuck’s on deckchairs. What could be better? Well, no mad people for a start…
Yesterday was yet another games day, but a special one. Not just because it was at Jon’s House, oh no, it was because of the game we all purchased the previous day. It was monopoly, a London edition: nothing special there. But, what’s this? There was no Money. Oh no. Monopoly has gone electronic. Each player has a card and the money is stored on a machine. It’s soooo cool. And well worth the five pounds all six of us paid for it.
So that’s what’s been happening in the world of Dan.
God I’ve been doing a lot.
