So, no blogs in November. Sorry about that. Quite a lot has happened over the past month that I won’t go into as much detail as I would have had I been bothered to blog more frequently.

This post will include “The Star Wars Marathon” and visits to universities across the land. So, on with the show…

On 5th November, myself, Dave C, Chard, Jon, Lewis and Dave J made our way to Rob’s house for a fantastic day watching all six star wars films back-to-back. We started at 0930, and didn’t finish until 2310. It was a hell of a long day. But, there are some pictures, if you wouldn’t mind following the links…

As you can see, we all got rather tired towards the end of the day. It was surprisingly tiring doing nothing but watch films.

Here we have the marvellous host, Rob. If he does ever read this, thanks. The day was excellent. Dave C and Jon having a good time! Chard with his out of this world light sabre. (Is that spelling correct?). Lewis and Sky making friends. Tango the cat also appeared for a while.

I think the best film was episode three, although six was also very good.

It was a fantastic day out which was well worth doing, if not a little tiring.

So, that was over a month ago. Moving slightly further forwards in time, my visit to Manchester Uni was on 22nd November. It was the first proper open day that I had ever been on, so I was looking forward to it. I wasn’t looking forward to the “interview” though. Myself, my Dad and Jon went on the train, which was very easy and convenient. The university itself is right in the middle of the city, with halls of residence all thirty of them, spread everywhere. The physics building was being renovated while we were there. A new extension was also being built so we had to imagine what it looked like. Still, overall it is a very nice place with an excellent nightlife, I’m told. The interview was actually far from an interview. It was just a general discussion about physicy topics such as renewable energy sources and nuclear power. My interview was with the very cool Dr. West. Not Westy from our school but somebody with the same name. Duh!

Moving forward two days, I travelled to Lancaster for their open day on 24th November. This journey was shared by my Dad and Mum, seeing as Liam is at Lancaster. We had the chance to see him for the first time in 8 weeks or so, which was good. He comes home next week. We stayed up there until Sunday, giving us a chance to see the university from a students point of view, I.e. with my brother. The actual university is totally different from Manchester. It is a campus outside of the town. The place is very nice, set in green countyside but the university buildings are all concrete. After Friday, came Saturday, obviously. All four of us travelled to Wigan to see them play my team, Spurs. This was my first away game of the season, so I was looking forward to sitting with all of the spurs fans. Here come the photos: This was the view outside the pub where we had lunch. Here’s the stadium: The JJB stadium. And again. And again. Spurs ended up winning 2-1, which made the whole day a lot better. Ah yes, I almost forgot. On the Friday, My Parents and I went to Morecambe. It was horrible, but they did have this statue of Eric Morecambe. So, that was a very busy week.

The following week involved a trip to York, which was very nice indeed. A campus again, but with some wonderful modern buildings. Mr. Glover went there, so it must be good. I think it’s my favourite of the three I’ve seen so far. Sorry no pictures.

Moving on, I have now received four offers officially. I haven’t heard from Warwick yet, and Bristol will give me an offer when I visit them in the New Year. I have three offers of AAB, and one from York of BBB, which is nice. I only received Manchester’s offer this morning.

What else, what else…. Ah yes, This Thursday I’m going to see one of my favourite bands in concert: Coldplay. I’m very, very excited about this concert, because it will be a much bigger event that the fantastic Nightwish concert in September. It’s at Earl’s Court and a sell out for the three nights that they are there. It’s going to be brilliant, and it will be blogged.
